Tiny tots
A first dance class for three to five year olds: barre concepts, music and movement, through play.
Tiny tots is not a scaled down adult class. It borrows the shape of a real class, barre, centre, across the floor, but every exercise is a game: pointed toes are 'ice-cream cones', a plie is 'squashing a marshmallow'. Dancers who stay with us move into the graded ballet stream once a teacher judges they are ready, usually around five or six.

What age can my child start tiny tots?
From three, as long as they are comfortable in a group without a parent in the room. We run a shorter, parent-and-child version for some two year olds by arrangement.
What should my child wear?
A leotard and bare feet or ballet shoes is ideal, but for the first few classes any comfortable clothing they can move in is fine.
