Jazz
Sharp, syncopated technique and choreography danced together, built for dancers who want to perform.
Jazz classes work isolations, turns and leaps against the music rather than around it, with choreography set early in the term so a class is dancing the same phrase together well before the concert, not learning it in the last week.
What is included
- Technical warm up: isolations, turns, leaps
- Choreography set from week three of the term
- Performance quality coached, not just steps
- Costume fitting included in concert term
$200 to $290

Is jazz suitable for beginners?
Yes, our junior jazz grades assume no prior experience. Senior grades expect at least a year of jazz or ballet technique.
How is jazz different from hip hop here?
Jazz is danced to counts with a technical warm up and turns and leaps; hip hop is more groove and rhythm based and does not use the same technical vocabulary.
